Lake Shore Cryotronics, a DwyerOmega brand, will showcase its TTPX cryogenic probe station and other products for optical device and material research at next week’s SPIE Optics + Photonics exhibition in San Diego, CA.
The tabletop TTPX station, which will be on display, is Lake Shore’s premium station for electro-optical device or materials characterization. In addition to being an affordable platform for performing temperature-dependent, on-wafer measurements under vacuum, the TTPX supports optional backside optical illumination of a sample, making it ideal for examination of photosensitive materials with topside metallization.
Also available: a wide range of other stations for photovoltaic material and semiconductor optoelectronic device R&D, including models featuring temperatures as low as 1.6 K, integrated magnetic field, and cryogen-free operation. Stations can be configured for electro-optical, DC, RF, and microwave measurements, as well as fiber optic probing and feedthroughs. On certain stations, load-lock and suitcase transfer options can be added for exchanging delicate samples under controlled environmental conditions.
Plus, for a limited time, eligible probe stations are now provided with an M81-SSM synchronous source measure system instrument and SMU-10 technology at no extra cost. This means customers not only get a highly versatile on-wafer probing platform for variable-temperature research, but also source measure instrumentation for applying stimulus to samples and measuring their response — without having to supply separate instruments.
The M81-SSM instrument with its SMU-10 module, which will be on display at SPIE Optics + Photonics, offers highly synchronized DC, 100-kHz AC, and mixed DC and AC sourcing and measuring. The module additionally features lock-in detection for low-level signal measurements, with lock-in voltage sensitivity down to the nanovolt level and DC current sensitivity below 100 fA.
Because the system’s remote amplifier modules can be mounted directly on the probe station, noise and unwanted effects from cabling and wiring to the sample are minimized.
Also at SPIE Optics + Photonics, Lake Shore will be discussing its:
- Hall effect measurement solutions, including the M91 FastHall™ controller, for analysis of solar cell, organic electronic, and transparent conducting oxide materials
- Electromagnet-based MagRS system with options for Hall effect, electron transport, and vibrating sample magnetometry measurements
- LHe/LN2 and cryogen-free cryostats, including the continuous flow ST-500 optical cryostat
- Infinite Helium, an award-winning, fully automated recirculating gas cooler system that enables a liquid helium cryostat to operate cryogen-free
- Cryogenic sensors and instruments for stable, reliable low-temperature measurements
